Every single tube that leaves our floor goes through a full voltage withstand (hi-pot) and insulation resistance test. No exceptions.
The Deal with Dielectric Breakdown
Sure, your clean room is scrubbed clean of dust, but electrical leakage doesn’t care about dust. It cares about flaws. We push the insulation layers with high-voltage stress to find the invisible stuff—microscopic cracks in the glass or ceramic that you’d never see with the naked eye. A Quick Heads-Up on Handling
Here’s the thing: while these tubes are electrically rock-solid, the high-voltage testing makes them a bit more sensitive to how they’re handled. If a technician drops one or cranks down the mounts too tight, it can create mechanical stress points. That basically creates a shortcut around the factory insulation we worked so hard to verify.
