We also used tempered glass and alloys that won’t pit or rust, so the units actually last.
A few things to keep in mind
There are two things you need to get right during setup. First, the power. These units pull a lot of current to get that high-end heat. You’ll need a dedicated circuit and a panel that can handle the load, otherwise, you’ll be tripping breakers all night. Then there’s the “throw.” Shortwave heat is intense, but it doesn’t travel forever. If you mount the heater too high, you’re just heating the ceiling. We recommend a specific height so the warmth hits you right in the shoulders and torso. It creates a cozy little bubble of heat exactly where you’re sitting, which means you aren’t wasting electricity on empty space.
